Super Eagles interim coach Finidi demands for full support from backroom staff

Super Eagles caretaker coach Finidi George has asked the team’s backroom staff to give him the full support for the friendlies against Ghana and Mali in Morocco.

Finidi has stepped in for Jose Peseiro, who has opted not to continue as the Super Eagles after his contract ran out at the end of the recent AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.

In his welcome address to his staff in Marrakesh, the former Ajax star told his staff his relationship with them will not change from when he was assistant coach to Peseiro.

He therefore asked for their full support and understanding for the two friendlies in Morocco.

Officials first told SCORENigeria that Finidi will get the chance to prove himself in these two matches after which the NFF technical committee will meet to decide on whether or not to recommend him for the Super Eagles top post.
