The Super Eagles should go a better step than 2023 AFCON by winning the 2025 AFCON, according to former captain Joseph Yobo.
The Super Eagles head Group C along with Tunisia and the East Africans Tanzania and Uganda.
Yobo said he is confident the Super Eagles will go past the first round on their way to winning a fourth AFCON crown.
He led Nigeria when Nigeria last won the AFCON in 2013 in South Africa.
“We have a very good team, the players have been improving as they showed at the last AFCON,” said the former Super Eagles captain.
“It is never easy, but getting out of the group stage has not been a problem for us.
“It is for us to start well and build on the momentum.
“It is about time we go one better and get our hands on the trophy again.”
