Another transfer window is fast approaching and has been the case in recent times, Victor Osimhen’s future will again be a thing of great interest.
The striker is on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli and he has maintained he will be at the Turkish champions until the end of season.
This means most suitors for Osimhen will now have to wait until the summer to break the bank to buy the Super Eagles striker on a permanent basis.
Premier League club Newcastle United have now emerged as dark horses to sign Osimhen in the summer.
The Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund bought 80% of Newcastle for 305 Million Pounds in October 2021.
It has been reported that Napoli want at least 100 Million Euros for Osimhen.
Newcastle are prepared to match this sum and “if necessary” throw in a player in the negotiations.
The British media have reported that Osimhen still wishes to play in the Premier League and will not extend his time at Galatasaray beyond June 2025 despite their ambitious plan to sign him.
