Nigerian Police Force confirms exhumation of Mohbad‘s body for autopsy

The Nigeria Police Force on Thursday confirmed that the body of late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has been exhumed for an autopsy.

MohBad died mysteriously on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27, after allegedly being treated for an infection. His death has been surrounded by controversy, with many calling for the cause to be uncovered.

Writing on the X app on Thursday, the Police PRO, Benjamin Hundeyin said autopsy shall commence soon.

”Exhumation completed, autopsy to commence,” he wrote.

The exhumation was carried out in conjunction with some health officials at the singer’s graveside in the Gberigbe area of Ikorodu.

It is hoped that the autopsy will help to determine the cause of Mohbad’s death and bring closure to his family and fans.
