The outstanding WASSCE performance of students of Mercy Girls High School Okigwe, Imo, has been celebrated on social media.
In a post on its Facebook page, the school praised the girls for keeping clean sheets.
The girls scored A1 in general mathematics.

It released the results of 11 of its students and praised God for their outstanding WASSCE performance.
The school wrote:
“BREAKING…!!!
“MERCY GIRLS’ OKIGWE KEEPS A CLEAN SHEET IN 2024 WAEC RESULT…!
“…We believe in integrity, knowledge and hard work.
“…And God of integrity always shows up for our Girls. TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!”
TheTalk.NG observed that the 11 students had A1 in general mathematics and some other subjects.
The school was established by Most Rev Dr Anthony Nwedo CSSP to train and prepare young girls for the future.

45 Ogun students score A1 in mathematics
Meanwhile, TheTalk.NG previously reported that 45 students of a secondary school in Ogun State had scored A1 in general mathematics in WASSCE.
On behalf of the management, the private school’s director, Sam Abdulazeez, thanked the students, their parents and team members for their academic feat. In a Facebook post, Sam stated that no student was left behind as the school raised the bar higher than last year’s performance.
Giving a breakdown of the WAEC results, Sam said three students had distinctions in all nine subjects, 14 students had distinctions in eight subjects, 27 had distinctions in seven subjects, and one had distinctions in five subjects. He added that two commercial students topped the list with eight A1’s.
