Top Transfer Expert: Osimhen won’t take pay cut to join Manchester United

Top Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano has maintained that Victor Osimhen will not take a cut of his 12 Million Euros-year salary to join Manchester United.

Manchester United have been widely linked with the Super Eagles striker, whose loan deal with Turkish champions Galatasaray will run out at the end of the season.

United are currently making job cuts to be more financially viable.

Romano said the key to an Osimhen transfer to United will be that he will at least maintain the salary he earns at Napoli and which Galatasaray paid him while he was on loan.

“Osimhen will demand the same contract as he did at Napoli and that means a salary burden of around 12 Million Euros,” the Transfer Expert said.

“If United cannot manage their budget, the player will definitely not want to transfer for less than that salary.”

Romano made reference to last summer when Chelsea tabled a bid for the player, who insisted he will not take a pay cut to join the London club.

“Osimhen has a release clause set at 75 Million Euros,” he said.

“Also, if we come to whether Osimhen will accept this offer (Manchester United) immediately; we need to remember what happened with Chelsea and other clubs last summer.”
