The University of Auckland International Excellence Scholarship aims to recognize and reward academic excellence in international students like yourself. This scholarship is open to students pursuing either undergraduate (Bachelor’s) or postgraduate (Master’s or Postgraduate Diploma) studies at the university.
Benefits
The scholarship offers a significant financial award, with a total of 50 scholarships awarded twice a year.
Each scholarship has a maximum value of NZ$10,000 (approximately US$6,800) and can be used towards tuition fees for either undergraduate or postgraduate programs.

Who is Eligible?
- Be a new student: You must be a prospective student who has received either a conditional or unconditional offer of admission for an undergraduate, postgraduate diploma, or master’s degree program at the University of Auckland.
- Currently enrolled in an English Language Program: You can also apply if you are currently enrolled in an English Language Academy (ELA) at the university and have received an offer for further studies.
- Full-time Student: You must be enrolled full-time in either a Summer Start International program, an undergraduate program, or a postgraduate diploma or master’s degree program.
- Academic Achievement: A strong academic record is a must. You’ll need a minimum GPA of at least 6.00 on a 4.00 scale (or equivalent) to be considered.
