TheTalk.NG earlier reported that Temi Otedola’s decision to drop her billionaire father Femi Otedola’s surname after marrying singer Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, stirred mixed reactions online.
Recall that shortly after she shared a picture from her white wedding with Mr Eazi, social media users observed changes on Temi’s Instagram bio, which showed her new name as Temi Ajibade, replacing her maiden name with the singer’s surname.
Her gesture, however, didn’t go well with many, including a Nigerian lady whose video questioning Temi’s decision has since gone viral.
The lady queried why Temi would change a surname as powerful as Otedola because she got married.

According to her, Mr Eazi chose to marry Temi because of her surname. Criticising why women drop their maiden names after marriage, she added that Mr Eazi should have been the one to change his surname, knowing how powerful Otedola was.
