Tonight, the Super Falcons fought back from two goals down to beat hosts Morocco 3-2 and win a record-extending 10th WAFCON title inside a packed Olympic Stadium in Rabat.
Jennifer Echegini was the Super Sub as she fired home the championship winner in the 88th minute, when she swept a free kick by Esther Okoronkwo past the diving Morocco goalkeeper.
Home team Morocco raced into a two-goal lead after 24 minutes in this most absorbing final, before Nigeria fought back to draw level with goals in the second half by Okoronkwo and Folashade Ijamilusi.
 This dramatic triumph gave Nigeria a new WAFCON trophy and a prize money of a million US Dollars.
Okoronkwo, who netted a penalty goal and provided two assists in this championship game, was named Player of the final.
