Chrisantus Uche, who is on the radar of Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle, scored his third La Liga goal for Getafe to move up in the standings.
The midfielder, who played as a twin striker, opened scoring at Girona after just three minutes and will later be booked in the encounter.
Β The 21-year-old Uche has now netted three goals in his La Liga debut season.
He is on the provisional squad for next monthβs 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
His club Getafe are 11th on the table with 30 points from 24 matches.
