Super Eagles star picks Premier League club for Osimhen, Ademola Lookman

Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman are both expected to make a big transfer in the summer and former Super Eagles star Celestine Babayaro has picked his former Premier League club Chelsea to take in both stars.

Osimhen and Ademola Lookman will certainly be the subject of huge discuss during the summer transfer window as they look primed for moves to top clubs, after this season’s proceedings.

Victor Osimhen looks to get a move away from Italian side Napoli, who frustrated a January move for the talisman, while Ademola Lookman would also be looking to get away from Atalanta, after leading them to glory last season.

Possible destinations for the two forwards in incredible form, has been one of the major topics on the lips of Nigerians, and former Premier League star Babayaro has suggested that the duo consider a move to Stamford Bridge.

“Lookman and Osimhen would fit in perfectly at Chelsea. Babayaro told AfricFoot.

“It’s obvious they would have an immediate impact there if signed. Look, we’re talking about two of the best strikers in Europe right now. African players have always excelled at Chelsea, and these two would be no different.

“They would form the core of the club and make the team instant contenders. They’re also a good buy because they each have one year left on their contracts. In one of the deals, probably Osimhen’s, they could trade Jackson (Nicolas), which I think would be a smart move.”

Babayaro spent eight years at the Blue side of London, before moving to Newcastle United, in 2005.
