The Super Eagles today maintained 39th place on the FIFA Ranking after they got off to a good start in 2025 AFCON qualifying campaign.
However, they dropped a place in the African ranking as they are now sixth by the latest ratings released by the world football ruling body.
Caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen led the three-time African champions to beat Benin 3-0, before they held home team Rwanda to a scoreless draw in Kigali.
Next month, they will battle Libya in a double-header in continuation of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
