Super Eagles ace puts transfer drama behind him to focus with Belgian club

Super Eagles defender Jordan Torunarigha has now put behind him the drama around a transfer in the summer window to focus fully on Belgian club Gent.

The defender, who was born in Germany, was linked to a departure several times this season and was allowed to dream of a transfer to Italy, among other things. That did not happen and a transfer to another club did not come either.

“Torunarigha has decided at this moment that he will play for AA Gent this season”, Vidarsson said.

“He has completely turned the switch. A compliment to the coach and his staff because they were able to let him focus completely on AA Gent.”

However, Torunariga only has a contract with Gent until the end of this season.

If they failed to extend it, they risk seeing the defender leave for free.
