Remo Stars experienced striker Sikiru Alimi will lead the CHAN Eagles hunt for goals in today’s opening Group D match of the 2024 CHAN against defending champions Senegal.
He has been selected ahead of NPFL Goal King Anas Yusuf and Godwin Obaje from Enugu Rangers.
There are five players from reigning NPFL champions Remo Stars in the starting XI – right back Sodiq Ismail, captain Nduka Junior, Olamilekan Adebayo, Malik Jabbar and Alimi.
Shock starter is Shooting Stars No 1 Lawal Mustapha, who has been picked ahead of Enyimba goalkeeper Ani Ozoemena, who was outstanding in the final playoffs against Ghana last year.
