Sidelined by injury suffered on international duty since November and then a failed transfer to Saudi Arabia, Victor Boniface is back in the groove with German champions Bayer Leverkusen after he followed up on his goal in the Bundesliga against Hoffenheim by netting extra-time winner for his team to reach the semifinals of the Cup.

The Super Eagles captain was again solid in defence for his Saudi Arabian club recorded a home win over Al Ryadh. The 31-year-old Ekong has been ever-present in the league for his club thus far, scoring twice in 19 appearances. The 3-2 home win over seventh-placed Al Riyadh has lifted Al Kholood to 12th on the table with 22 points from 19 matches. Β This is most commendable for a team who won promotion to the top league only last season.
4.Olanrewaju Kayode
The former Super Eagles striker was again on target for his new club Erokspor to secure a 1-1 draw at front runners Genclerbirligi. He has now netted three goals in his first four league games for Erokspor and in total he has scored 10 goals in the league this season having got seven for his previous club in the Turkish second-tier division. His new club have now climbed to 12th on the table with 31 points from 23 matches.
3.Femi Azeez
The 23-year-old winger grabbed a brace for English Championship side Millwall to advance to the fifth round of the FA Cup in England at the expense of high-flying Leeds United, who are top of the English Championship and 26 points clear of their London opponents. It the first time since 2019 Millwall have reached this stage of the famous cup competition.
2.Fisayo Dele Bashiru
On a weekend big brother Tom Dele Bashiru was among the goals in England, Fisayo also fired his fifth goal of the Serie A season for Lazio to trounce Monza 5-1. The Super Eagles midfielder came off the bench to score his third Serie A goal. Lazio are front runners in the Italian top flight in fourth place with 45 points after 24 rounds of matches.

Victor Boniface was injured in a 2025 AFCON qualifier against Rwanda in Uyo in November and only returned to the Leverkusen starting XI against Hoffenheim. He then emerged as the late hero for reigning cup holders, who had to fight back from two goals down to see off Bundesliga 2 outfit FC Cologne.
