Rwanda and Zimbabwe must now be shaking in their boots because the Super Eagles strikers are firing at the right time leading up to must-win 2026 World Cup qualifiers – from Victor Osimhen to Chidera Ejuke, Sadiq Umar and Ademola Lookman.
5.Victor Osimhen
The Super Eagles star striker fired his 17th goal in the Turkish Super Lig for Galatasaray to win at Alanyaspor and stay on course for a third successive championship. Osimhen’s match winner was a header off a cross as he continues to play a huge role in this season’s campaign for the Turkish giants. He is now just a goal behind the leading scorer in the league. ’Gala’ are now seven points clear of closest rivals Fenerbache, who have a game in hand.
4.Chidera Ejuke
Sevilla have climbed to 10th in La Liga standings on the back of the match winner by their Super Eagles winger Ejuke at Real Sociedad. Ejuke hit target in the 46th minute for his second La Liga goal of the season. Sevilla are rebuilding after the departure of several top stars and must be delighted with the progress they have achieved in recent weeks.

3.Sadiq Umar
The gangling striker was the other Nigerian match winner in the Spanish La Liga this past week as Valencia beat bottom team Real Valladolid to move out of the relegation zone. It was his fourth goal in the Spanish top league and the Real Sociedad loanee will be expected to score more to move them farther away from danger this season.
2.Ademola Lookman
The Super Eagles forward matched his tally of 13 goals in his debut season in Italy when he scored in Atalanta 4-0 spanking of home team Juventus. It was a brilliant solo effort. This was meant to be a close contest between two front runners for the Scudetto, but when the goals started going in, it became a one-sided match. After a couple of drawn games, this win has re-energised their championship ambitions and they are now just three points behind defending champions and leaders Inter Milan with 10 rounds of matches to the end of the season.

1.Cyriel Dessers
The Super Eagles striker opened scoring as early as the sixth minute and then provided the assist to make it 2-1 and inspire Rangers to a shock 3-1 win at Fenerbache, usually a hostile and intimidating ground for visiting teams. It was a personal display that could only have enhanced his chances of a recall by the Super Eagles for the decisive 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe. Dessers last featured for Nigeria a year ago, when he scored in a victory over perennial arch-rivals Ghana in a friendly in Morocco.
