The Flying Eagles have quality, but will need more power because the WAFU B U20 AFCON in Togo will be physical warfare, according to former national team scout Hassan Abdallah.
“The team have improved tremendously in the last few days. They will do well, but the coach Aliyu Zubairu, who is a very intelligent man, should add power to his team,” said Abdallah.
“We need strong and physical players, who can mark and retain the ball because in Togo we will be up against physical teams in West Africa like Burkina Faso.
“There’s real quality in midfield, but I have only seen Daniel Daga with the force there, there’s therefore a problem to do with power.
“In attack Charles Agada will help the team a lot because he bullies his markers.”
The U20 AFCON qualifying tournament will kick off on October 17 in Lome, Togo.
The Flying Eagles are drawn in Group B alongside Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso.
