Peter Obi mourns Nigerian singer Mohbad, calls for probe
Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has mourned the late Nigerian singer Oladimeji Aloba, professionally known as Mohbad.
In a post on his X handle on Tuesday, Obi condoled with the mother and entire family of Mohbad over his “painful demise.” He said he knew “how difficult it is for parents to lose a child, especially one with such a promising future as his.”
Obi also urged the government and security agencies to probe the circumstances that led to Mohbad’s untimely death, charging them to leave no stone unturned in unraveling the truth.
“With his demise, the nation has lost a promising talent in our growing music and entertainment industry,” Obi said.
He concluded by praying for Mohbad’s eternal rest and for his family and fans to have the fortitude to bear the loss.
