Papa Daniel joker in the pack for CHAN Eagles in Ghana

Niger Tornadoes exciting midfielder Papa Daniel is most likely to be the joker in the pack of the CHAN Eagles in Sunday’s Jollof Derby in Ghana.

Papa Daniel, 22, is a defensive midfielder who weighs in with his fair share of goals.

He is an exciting, left-footed midfield enforcer who also loves to venture upfront.

Papa Daniel was on the provisional squad for the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil before he missed the final cut.

He has made the most of a season-long loan from NNL outfit Sporting Supreme that several of the country’s top clubs are now in the hot chase for his signature.

This season he has already scored three goals for ‘The Ikon Allah’ boys.

He has formed a great partnership in the heart of the CHAN Eagles engine room with Jide Fatokun from Remo Stars and this will allow the attacking midfielder as well as the wingers and the striker in a 4-3-3 formation to be even more adventurous.

His time in Turkey will serve him well on his senior international debut in Ghana.

He played three seasons in the Turkish second division with Adanaspor beginning with their U19s in the 2020/21 season, when he also netted two goals.

In the 2021/2022 season, he made six appearances for the Adanaspor first team.

However, his contract with the Turkish club was terminated the following season.
