Osimhen warned it will be bloody rivalry with ‘jealous’ Galatasaray star striker Icardi

A top Turkish journalist has warned Victor Osimhen must get set for a bloody rivalry with Galatasaray star striker Mauro Icardi.

Icardi, 31, scored the goals that crowned ‘Gala’ champions last season.

He is the star striker and in the last two years he and his agent, Wanda Nara, have held the Istanbul giants hostage.

Based on a social media posting by Icardi about “the silent Lion and dogs that bark”, various publications have already accused the Argentine of being jealous of Osimhen after the rousing welcome he received on arrival in Turkey.

Gazzetta dello Sport correspondent in Istanbul Selchuk Manav said Icardi is not happy with the transfer of the Super Eagles striker.

“Icardi is jealous and I am sure he is not happy with the signing of Osimhen,” he said.

“For two years, the club have been a prisoner of the whims of Mauro Icardi and his agent, Wanda Nara.

“We’re happy with the arrival of Osimhen, but Icardi’s jealousy will not end.

“Now another chaos will begin.”

It has also been reported that ‘Gala’ moved fast for Osimhen after Icardi suffered a groin injury Saturday at Adana Demirspor.

Agent George Gardi, who brought Icardi and Dries Mertens to Galatasaray, subsequently got Osimhen’s transfer going between Saturday midnight and Sunday.
