Victor Osimhen transfer saga is a classic roller coaster with latest reports suggesting Chelsea are back on the negotiating table, PSG are to come up with a late bid, while the Saudis cannot be ruled out completely despite the player’s rejections.
Repubblica reported that all three clubs are now in the mix for the Napoli striker.
What is clear is that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis will not get the 100 Million Euros he wants on Osimhen.
Also, Osimhen’s agent today made it clear that the player wishes to continue his career in Europe.
PSG, who Osimhen has already agreed personal terms with, remain the player’s preferred destination.
SCORENigeria has also learnt that Chelsea have not given up the chase for the Napoli striker and have got back to Napoli with a new formula to make a transfer happen.
Added to this is that the Saudis are ready to pay the highest for Osimhen even as he continues to dream of PSG and say no to them.
Al Ahli agent kia Joorabchien disclosed the first offer for the player was 70 Million Euros plus bonuses.
They can go as far as between 85 and 90 Million Euros to get their target, he said.
Rumours are that Osimhen has demanded a salary of 20 Million Euros a year and a release clause as well.
He has to agree the deal for it to go through.
Italian journalist Valter De Maggio said this is his most likely destination.
“He has already played in Ligue 1, the truth is that in his heart he wants to go to the Premier League,” he said.
“But there is no offer that will satisfy Napoli there.
“The only real offer that will do so is from Saudi Arabia.
“It is true that is not the best football in the world, but with three years there Osimhen can fix six generations.
“Aurelio De Laurentiis (Napoli president) will not listen to 65 Million Euros, he will listen to 110 Million Euros.”
