Orlando Pirates: 12th coach in 10 years, here’s the full list

Orlando Pirates supporters have been surprisingly introduced to a new head coach in Jose Riveiro. The news were unexpected when you consider how co-coaches Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids displayed progress.

But then it’s Irvin Khoza’s Buccaneers we’re talking about.

ORLANDO PIRATES APPOINT SPANIARD

As The South African website reported on Saturday morning, Riveiro will take charge of the Sea Robbers after Davids left in early June, but will use Ncikazi as his assistant alongside Sergio Almenara.

The 46-year-old Riveiro is now Bucs’ 12th coach in 10 years.

LIST OF 10 COACHES IN THE LAST 10 YEARS

It was on 16 August 2021 when the Buccaneers shocked the local football community by announcing the resignation of Josef Zinnbauer.  It was also around a year since Zinnbauer replaced Rhulani Mokwena. 

Starting back in 2012 into a cycle of 10 years to 2022, here are the changes…
