Omotoyossi official cheer leader for Benin against Super Eagles

Nigerian-born striker Razak Omotoyossi will be one of two former Benin internationals who will accompany the team for the 2025 AFCON qualifier against the Super Eagles in Uyo.

The Benin sports ministry will foot their bills.

Benin have come up with an initiative for their former stars to be connected to the current national team.

In June, another Nigerian-born player Muri Ogunbiyi was also sponsored by the Benin Government to travel and support the Cheetahs in a 2026 World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles.

This support must have worked because Benin are now among the front runners on the road to the 2026 Mundial.
