The YBNL chairman spoke about how his experience as a musician has helped him better understand and work with the talent under his supervision.

According to him, working in the music industry has taught him how artists think, act, and deal with the ups and downs of fame, money, and success.

The Metaverse crooner stated that having a solid understanding makes it easier for him to guide individuals signed to his label.

He claims he knows when people are in a good creative space and when they are distracted, which allows him to provide the appropriate support.

He said: “It’s way much easier for me being a music executive than an artiste because I’m an artiste, so I understand the needs of creatives.

“I know the way we think, I know the way we see things. I know when we are in our element, when we want to run mad, when we’re getting high on our own supply, or high on fame, life, money, and success. So it’s easier for me to deal with creatives. I try not to bite more than I can chew.”

Olamide also addressed the ongoing controversy over whether rappers should transition to singing, claiming that he appreciates music in general and does not want to be limited to one genre.
