NPFL ROUNDUP: Leaders Remo Stars fail to go clear of closest rivals Rivers United

Table toppers Remo Stars today failed to make their home advantage count after they were held to a goalless draw by closest rivals Rivers United.

The draw meant Remo stayed top on 23 points from 12 games, still just a point more than Rivers United.

Third-placed Enyimba were also held to a 1-1 draw at Abia Warriors.

Flying Eagles winger Clinton Jephta put Enyimba ahead after only nine minutes only for the home team to draw level on 26 minutes through Adejoh Ojonugwa.

Enyimba now have 20 points from a dozen matches.

Defending champions Enugu Rangers climbed to fourth spot courtesy of a 3-2 home win over Bendel Insurance.
