The NPFL Player of Week 28 is Leonard Ngenge of high-flying Ikorodu City.
Ikorodu City are the biggest surprise package of the NPFL season as they are now jostling for a continental slot after they started out battling to stay afloat in their debut campaign in the top flight.
Left-sided central defender Ngenge, 18, symbolises the youthful talent that has taken Nigeria football by storm this year.
Ikorodu City stunned hosts Lobi Stars at the weekend on the back of a late winner by another exciting young player Shola Adelani that was only made possible by the drive and audacity of Ngenge.
It was therefore not a surprise that Ngenge was named Man of the Match by his Lagos club.
He is a tall, powerfully-built centre-back, who loves to join the attack.
The young defender will be lost to Nigeria football in August after he signed a pre-contract with Leeds United, who are pushing for a return to the Premier League.
