The NPFL Player of Week 21 is Franck Mawuena of Remo Stars.
The big Togo international forward Mawuena rose highest to head home a cross for the winning goal by Remo Stars against Abia Warriors and complete a remarkable comeback after they trailed 2-0 at the start of this home tie.
That is the third goal of the season for the experienced 32-year-old attacker, who has played in Belgium and Turkey.
Coach Daniel Ogunmodede described the comeback as “incredible”.
The home victory has meant Remo Stars have opened a six-point gap at the top of the table after close challengers Rivers United dropped valuable points at home against Bendel Insurance.
