NPFL Player of Week (6) – Youngster Stanley Joseph propels Remo Stars back to the top

The NPFL Player of Week 6 is Stanley Joseph of Remo Stars.

Remo Stars are back on top of the standings thanks to a goal and assist by Stanley Joseph against visiting Nasarawa United.

Remo Stars won 3-0 at home with Joseph providing the assist with a delightful cross for experienced striker Sikiru Alimi to open scoring in the 51st minute.

The young central defender, who has come through from the Beyond Limits Academy, then scored his own goal off a loose ball from a corner on the hour to give the home team a two-goal cushion.

He is a left-sided central defender who loves to join the attack and who has been part of the NPFL since last season after he was promoted from Beyond Limits a year ago.

He made his NPFL debut in October 2023 at 18.

He was a key player when Beyond Limits made history by becoming the first Nigerian team to win the highly-rated Viareggio Tournament in Italy earlier this year.
