The tragic news out of Cyprus is that 20-year-old striker Paul Julius has died in a car accident.
Julius only joined Cypriot club Enosis Neon Paralimniou three weeks ago from Egyptian club El Gaish.
The striker died after the car he was driving was involved in a head-on-collision with another car on the Paralimni-Protaras road.
His club ENP confirmed his demise.
“It is with deep sadness and pain that we express our sincere condolences on the unexpected loss of our footballer Paul Julius,” a club statement said.
“The tragic news of his death has shocked us all. Despite the hardships and sufferings he faced to join our family, he remained steadfast and determined to fulfill his goals.
“His memory will live on in our minds and his absence will be felt.
“We are with his family and his loved ones during this difficult time.
“May he rest in peace.”
