SCORENigeria has it on good authority that the CHAN Eagles could well be seriously depleted leading to next month’s 2024 CAHN in East Africa as several of the players are already set to seal transfers overseas.
Already Sodiq Ismail and his Remo Stars teammate Jide Fatokun, who played pivotal roles for the CHAN Eagles to eliminate Ghana and qualify for the CHAN, have sealed transfer to Albania.
They will therefore not be eligible for the CHAN as it is reserved for players who ply their trade in their domestic leagues.
SCORENigeria can also report that Niger Tornadoes exciting midfielder Papa Daniel, who shone for the CHAN Eagles against Ghana, has attracted several offers in Europe and Africa.
The timing of the CHAN means players are forced to choose between club and country as the transfer window will close before the tournament will kick off on February 1.
