- The Kano state house of assembly has finally passed a supplementary budget of NN99 billion
- The speaker of the house, Jibril Falgore, said that the budget would enable the state government to implement the new minimum wage and other services as the fund would be extended on recurrent, personnel and overhead cost
- An aide to Governor Abba Yusuf disclosed that the Kano No.1 citizen has signed the supplementary budget into law
A state advisory committee is in place in Kano ‘to deliver a practical plan for immediate implementation of the new national minimum wage’.
