Mikel insists Chelsea need ‘killer’ Osimhen

Multiple champion with Chelsea Mikel Obi has again stuck out his neck for the London club to sign Victor Osimhen because he is the “killer” they need.

Former Super Eagles captain Mikel has played the ‘mini agent’ in getting Osimhen to Stamford Bridge this summer.

“I keep saying we need a Victor Osimhen. Go and get Victor Osimhen. Please get that deal done because we need an out-and-out striker. He is a player that is going to get us goals,” Mikel restated on his Obi One podcast

“Yes, I have said it, technically maybe not the best, goalscoring, he will get us goals and that is what we need. We need a striker who will stay around the box like Haaland.

“Technically, it’s not very good. A lot of people talk about his technique but he is a killer. He gets you goals and that is what we need.”

Osimhen’s future has yet to be sorted as his transfer away from Napoli has taken different clubs and several twists this summer.
