Man of Match Chukwueze praises AC Milan for crucial win

Man of the Match Samuel Chukwueze has praised the resilience of AC Milan after they held on to his early goal even when they were reduced to 10 men to beat Udinese and climb up the Serie A table.

Chukwueze, who passed a late fitness test, made the most of a rare start with a composed finish after just 12 minutes against Super Eagles teammate Maduka Okoye in the Udinese goal.

However, Milan ace Tijani Reijnders was sent off before the half-hour mark as Udinese fought back and even had an effort chalked off by VAR.

“It was very nice, especially because of the attitude. We defended well, there was a team spirit that led us to victory,” an elated Chukwueze said.

“A good feeling, very important for us. And this helps to give confidence, now we have to continue like this.”

Milan have now climbed to fourth in the Serie A standings with 14 points from eight games,  two points behind leaders Napoli, who have a game in hand.
