‘Lukaku better for Napoli than Osimhen’

The inevitable comparison between Victor Osimhen and Romelu Lukaku has begun in earnest with a Napoli radio director saying the Belgium striker is better suited to the Italian club.

Coach Antonio Conte insisted on getting Lukaku when it was clear that Osimhen will leave Napoli.

Director of Kiss Kiss Napoli Radio Valter Di Maggio gave his reasons why Napoli are better off with Lukaku.

“For me, he is not only stronger, he’s a leader on the pitch and also more functional than Osimhen,” he said.

“We will always love Osimhen, but the Nigerian also had a negative impact, while I don’t see any negative attitude with Lukaku.

“It’s not an accident that Lukaku is from Chelsea, not only Napoli liked him, while Osimhen ended up in Galatasaray, nobody wanted him and it was just because of the transfer fee.”

Former Napoli player Pampa Sosa also said Osimhen has wronged the fans who stood with him in his time in Italy.

He said the striker ought to have made a farewell message to the fans.

“You can have problems with the club, that’s fine, but what do the fans have to do with it? They have their all to you,” he said.

“He will regret this.”
