Social media personality and self-acclaimed financial expert Geh Geh has lashed out at celebrity chef Hilda Baci over her recently concluded biggest pot of Jollof rice cookathon.
Geh Geh, in a video, reacted to the turnout at Hilda Baci’s cookathon, stating that it was a sign that Nigeria was a poor country.
The self-acclaimed financial expert also criticised Hilda, who he stated was giving too much attention, energy, and money to things that contribute nothing to Nigeria.
According to Geh Geh, Hilda Baci’s cookathon was a tool to divert the youth’s attention from important issues in the country.
“People were crying and queuing just to eat ordinary Jollof rice. You are giving so much attention, energy, and money to things that are not important to society. What is this Guinness Record contributing to Nigeria? This your record and BBNaija are the same thing, diverting the attention of the youth into things that aren’t really important,” he said in part.
Geh Geh also rated Hilda Baci’s Jollof as quantity over quality, reacting to her cooking process.
“And the rice is more about quantity over quality; it seems like they put rice instead of hot water,” he said.
Geh Geh also advised the celebrity chef to focus on things that would contribute to the lives of Nigerians, rather than breaking world records.
