HALFTIME: Super Eagles 1 Jamaica 1

It is all-square after 45 minutes of action between the Super Eagles and Jamaica in the final of the 2025 Unity Cup at the Gtec Stadium in West London.

Nigeria took the lead in the ninth minute, when Cyriel Dessers cut in from the right flank, located captain Moses Simon, who put it away.

It was his tenth international goal.

However, two minutes later, the Reggae Boyz drew level.

Sodiq Ismail was beaten for pace on the left and from the square play Jamaica were back on level terms.

Coach Eric Chelle rung four changes to his Starting XI from the 2-1 win over Ghana with only Sodiq Ismail the survivor from the NPFL.

There were debuts for Werder Brem leftback Felix Agu as well as Brentford youngster Benjamon Fredrick.

The Super Eagles enjoyed a bright start and were rewarded with the opening goal, before Jamaica’s equaliser appeared to have taken something out of them.

However, Nigeria finished the first half on the strong foot, but they will have to raise their game after the break against the very physical Jamaicans.
