The Flying Eagles are deservedly ahead 2-0 in this first half of this WAFU B U20 Final against arch rivals Ghana.
Both goals coming from the boots of Beyond Limits striker Kparobo Arierhi.
The 17-year-old striker has now netted three goals in the competition, same as Clinton Jephta of Enyimba.
The Flying Eagles are playing their best game in this U20 AFCON qualifying tournament, a case of saving your best for last.
They dictated the proceedings from the first whistle and could even have taken an early lead through Jephta but somehow the Ghanaian defence held out.
Kparobo will eventually open scoring on 34 minutes, before he got his brace just before the interval.
Ghana have enjoyed huge support from the crowd as they are just across the border from Togo, but that has not counted for much as the Flying Eagles have been the better team in this first 45 minutes.
Flying Eagles Starting XI (4-3-3) vs Ghana:
Ebenezer Harcourt – Kenneth Igboke, Adamu Maigari, Daniel Bameyi (Captain), Haruna Aliyu – Sabiu Ibrahim, Israel Ayuma, Nasiru Salihu – Bidemi Amole, Arierhi Kparobo, Clinton Jephta
