According to II Mattino, Galatasaray have agreed to pay a hefty fine of 30 Million Euros should they resell Victor Osimhen to an Italian club in the next two years.
Napoli have insisted on a clause that is now widely referred to as the ‘anti-Italy’ clause for Galatasaray not to resell Osimhen to an Italian rival.
There has been suspicion that either Juventus or AC Milan are indirectly involved in the transfer of Osimhen to Galatasaray and that after a year, the Turkish champions will sell the striker to one of them.
This will be an arrangement to beat Napoli release clause of 75 Million Euros that is not valid for Italian clubs.
Various reports in both Italy and Turkey said after protracted negotiations a final agreement has been reached between Napoli and Galatasaray for the transfer of Osimhen.
Galatasaray will pay 40 Million Euros of the transfer fee this month, while the balance of 35 Million Euros, backed by bank guarantees, will be paid next year.
Turkish publication Fotomac reported that Osimhen is now expected in Istanbul Tuesday to complete his transfer.
