SCORENigeria has learnt that several foreign-based pros have joined the Flying Eagles training camp in Abuja ahead of next month’s FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile.
Norway-based defensive midfielder Wilfred George and England-based winger Christian Nwachukwu lead the long list of overseas call-ups expected to fortify the team handled by coach Aliyu Zubairu.
The 20-year-old George plays for Norwegian club Kristiansund and only recently attracted interest from a number of clubs in the Major League Soccer (MLS) in the USA.
The Flying Eagles will open their U20 World Cup campaign against Norway on September 29.
Colombia and Saudi Arabia are the other teams in Group F.
