Flying Eagles coach Aliyu Zubairu has saluted the team after they beat U20 AFCON hosts Cote d’Ivoire in test game in Abidjan.
The Flying Eagles, parading up to a dozen new players, scored two second-half goals to beat home team Cote d’Ivoire Wednesday.
“They carried out most of the instructions we have been working on,” the Flying Eagles coach remarked.
“They know what is at stake because these matches are to evaluate them.”
The squad include two Golden Eaglets stars, captain Simon Cletus and Abdulmuiz Adeleke.
“Abdulmuiz played well even though he didn’t score, while Cletus will start tomorrow after he was rested after a collision in our test match in Abuja,” the Flying Eagles disclosed.
