Flamingos striker Harmony Chidi has been named the official Player of the Match against Ecuador.

The 15-year-old striker scored Nigeria’s second goal on the way to a crushing 4-0 win over debutants Ecuador Saturday night in Santiago, the Dominican Republic.

It was her first goal in the U17 World Cup after she emerged as the leading scorer in the qualifiers with 13 goals.

She also had an assist, had an effort chalked off for offside and another that crashed against the crossbar with the goalkeeper all beaten.

“All over me there is joy,” she celebrated after the victory which qualified Nigeria to the last-eight of the U17 World Cup.
