Flamingos skipper Taiwo Afolabi Player of Match

Flamingos captain Taiwo Afolabi has been named Player of the Match against New Zealand in an opening FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup clash.

Nigeria got off to a flying start with a 4-1 win over New Zealand.

Afolabi, who also featured at the 2022 tournament in India, scored Flamingos fourth goal.

She also bossed the midfield as Nigeria made a big statement going into this World Cup in the Dominican Republic.
