FG announces plan to start paying Nigerians to learn vocational skills

  • The federal government will pay students to enroll in vocational schools and provide financial incentives to master craftspersons for hands-on training
  • A nationwide monitoring system will ensure quality training, while trainees will receive entrepreneurial grants to support self-sufficiency

Were pre-qualifying the master craft persons from large industries to medium-sized industries and small industries.Well ask you how many students can you train, 10 students? Well give you 10 students, and well pay you for each of them every month. We will also implement a nationwide monitoring system to ensure quality training and positive learning outcomes, the minister added.Local supervisors to be assigned to each LGYoull have six months of training there, and weve been very careful and deliberate in the kind of skills we will be training at these schools.
