The Falconets today edged past home team Rwanda 1-0 in the first leg 2026 U20 World Cup qualifier in Kigali.
The match winner was Alaba Olabiyi, who hit target in the 70th minute with an assist by fullback Miracle Usani.
The return leg match will be played in Ibadan.
Next year’s U20 Women’s World Cup will be staged in Poland.
