Ex-Super Eagles coach targets Benin league championship

Former Super Eagles coach Salisu Yusuf will hope to lead new club Coton FC to win the league championship in Benin.

SCORENigeria exclusively reported the departure of Salisu Yusuf to Benin.

Coton FC were runners-up to Dadje FC last season and Salisu Yusuf will now be expected to crown them champions again.

Former Enyimba, Kano Pillars and Nasarawa United coach Yusuf has replaced French coach Victor Zvunda and the club will now undergo a massive re-organisation as several players will also depart.

Former CHAN Eagles coach Yusuf will also be expected to steer Coton FC to the group stage of this year’s CAF Confederation Cup.   


Ndidi back after injury with Super Eagles
Wilfred Ndidi will soon be available for selection by Besiktas after he recovered from a thigh injury he suffered in a 2026 World Cup qualifier.
