Ex-BBNaija Star Adekunle Defends Housemates Following Backlash Over Intimate Videos

  • Adekunle Olopade defended current BBNaija housemates after intimate clips from the show stirred heavy criticism online
  • He reminded viewers that the reality TV program is rated 18 and features consenting adults who are free to explore attraction
  • The ex-housemate blasted what he called public hypocrisy, saying many critics privately do worse than what they condemn

Former Big Brother Naija reality star Adekunle Olopade has joined the conversation surrounding Season 10 after intimate clips of housemates went viral online.

The ex-housemate, who knows firsthand the pressures of living under the cameras, urged Nigerians to show restraint before rushing to judgment.

According to him, the housemates are grown adults who haven’t broken any rules by choosing to explore attraction inside the house.

Adekunle defends the housemates

The recent backlash came after two separate clips dominated social media.

One showed housemates Koyin and Isabella under the duvet in a compromising position after the Saturday night party.

Another showed Jason Jae and Sultana in what many described as an “oral act” under the sheets during the Friday night wager presentation.

These moments ignited strong disapproval among a section of viewers, but Adekunle described the outrage as misplaced.

Adekunle accused critics of image-shaming the housemates. He suggested that many of those condemning the show’s intimate content likely engage in similar or worse behavior behind closed doors.

He added that the same society quick to attack BBNaija contestants for romance often overlooks infidelity and secrecy in everyday relationships.

He wrote:

“So, because consenting adults ON A RATED 18 show who are clearly attracted to each other get intimate, that’s why you guys are coming up with all these think pieces? The hypocrisy I’ve seen this week alone is laughable. What do you guys really think happens when adults are left together in a confined space? Please let’s be real.

“The gag in all of this is, the people who are pointing fingers and quick to accusations actually do much worse, with multiple people infact,”

Sultana opens up on her faith

TheTalk.NG earlier reported that Big Brother Naija housemate Sultana opened up about her religious journey.

Her father is a Muslim from Adamawa state, and her mother is a Christian from Yala in Cross River state.

During a quiet late-night chat with fellow housemate Zita, the 25-year-old model spoke openly about being raised in a religiously mixed home, her experience with both Islam and Christianity, and the choice she eventually made.
