Don’t Rush To Arrest Before Investigations Are Completed- Hichilema

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has urged law enforcement agencies to thoroughly carry out investigations before effecting arrests.

The President notes that rushing to arrest before thorough investigations may not yield the intended results.

He said this during the swearing in ceremony of 19 senior Government officials comprising the Anti Corruption Commission -ACC-, Judicial Complaints Commission, Human Rights Commission and Diplomats among others.

MEANWHILE, President HICHILEMA has called for speedy judicial reforms.

He says it is unfortunate that citizens have suffered injustice due to the slow judicial process.

AND the President said the recently released Financial Intelligence Centre -FIC- Trends Report appears to show that the legal fraternity is above the law due to their involvement in alleged suspicious financial transactions.

Among those sworn in are Police Public Complaints commission Chairperson ZUNGA SIAKALIMA, ACC Chairperson MUSA MWENYE and his board and Director General GILBERT PHIRI.

Justice Minister MULAMBO HAIMBE and Dr. HENRY MBUSHI were also sworn in as State Counsels.
