West Bromwich Albion striker Daryl Dike has suffered a setback in his bid to return to action after eight months on the sidelines.
Dike tore his Achilles in February and returned to full team training a month ago only for him to return to the treatment table for hamstring problem.
The 24-year-old striker may now only return to action in December on account of this latest injury complaint.
“When Daryl suffered his original injury we hoped he’d be back before Christmas. The new muscle injury will now mean he will return after Christmas,” disclosed West Brom manager Carlos Corberan.
Dike, whose older brother Bright Dike was capped by the Super Eagles, has been limited to only 32 appearances for ‘The Baggies’ since he joined the club in the 2021/2022 season.
