Czech club Sigma Olomouc have celebrated the loan transfer of former Flying Eagles striker Muhamed Tijani from champions Slavia Praha.
Tijani, 25, has moved on a season-long loan with Slavia Praha having the option to recall him in January.
“Muhamed Tijani was one of the players we had been eyeing with the intention of expanding our offensive options,” Sigma sports manager Ladislav Minar told the club’s website.
“For a long time, he preferred to go abroad, but when the opportunity to acquire him finally arose, we decided to take advantage of it.
“I believe he will do well in our jersey and that we will help each other.”
Coach Tomáš Janotka said he expects significantly greater competition in the position of striker and “certainly also an improvement in the quality of the team”.
Last season, Tijani was on loan at English club Plymouth, but after relegation to the third division, he was unable to stay and the transfer option could not be triggered.
