Controversy sparked over exclusion of Hafiz Ibrahim by Flying Eagles for U20 World Cup

There are now huge question marks over the omission of Hafiz Ibrahim by the Flying Eagles from a final squad for the U20 World Cup even after the Stade Reims striker impressed when he trained with the team.

Reports have suggested that Hafiz was left out after his French club blocked his release.

However, a top source informed SCORENigeria that Stade Reims were willing to let the player join the Flying Eagles in Chile when he would have played a game on September 23.

The young striker is now all shattered he was left out of the World Cup.

“Reims never stopped the boy from the World Cup and now he has been left so devastated he will not feature at the World Cup,” the top source said.

“Everything is so baffling because this is one player who would have solved the goal-scoring problem that the team have suffered from.”
